What is Neural Therapy?
Neural therapy is a treatment technique applied by injecting local anesthetics (usually procaine or lidocaine) into specific nerve points, ganglia, trigger points, or scar tissues. This method activates the body's self-healing mechanism by correcting disorders in the autonomic nervous system.
Effect of Neural Therapy on Chronic Pain
Chronic pain often results from disrupted electrical potential in the nervous system. Neural therapy breaks the pain cycle by restoring this disrupted potential. It produces effective results in many chronic pain conditions such as back pain, neck pain, migraine, fibromyalgia, joint pain, and nerve compression.
How Does the Treatment Process Work?
A detailed patient evaluation is performed before neural therapy application. The source of pain, past traumas, and surgical scars are examined. Treatment is generally planned as 5-10 sessions, each lasting 15-30 minutes. Many patients experience significant relief after the first few sessions.
Safety of Neural Therapy
Neural therapy is a very safe treatment method when applied by an experienced physician. Side effects of the local anesthetics used are minimal. It is a traditional and complementary medicine application approved by the Turkish Ministry of Health.
